LAO CHAI HMONG TREK - 2 DAYS

Day 1

​

• 9:00 am - Pick up at your Hotel: Our tour guide will meet you at your designated hotel and take you to Y Linh Ho, a quaint village situated in the heart of the Hmong minority. Get ready to be amazed by the stunning 100-year-old rice terraces that surround the area!

​

• Lunch at Y Linh Ho Village: After taking in all of the beauty Y Linh Ho has to offer, enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by locals and savor every bite of unique flavors. You will learn about the culture and customs of this ethnic group while moving on to Lao Chai.

​

• Walk to Lao Chai: Get ready for an extraordinary experience when you walk through this established Black Hmong village. As you stroll along narrow pathways, marvel at traditional black stilt houses with detailed wooden balconies, which reflect the rich culture and heritage of this ancient tribe.

​

• Be welcomed by a local family who homestay owned by the Black Hmong minority in the Sapa region: Once you reach your destination, be warmly welcomed by a hospitable local family who owns a homestay in Sapa Valley. During this time, spend some quality time immersing yourself in their culture and daily life activities as they share stories about their livelihoods.

• Dinner and overnight homestay accommodation: As night falls, tuck into a delicious dinner cooked with fresh ingredients from local farms. Listen to folk tales about their beliefs and relax as you sit out under an open sky full of stars before settling down for a cozy overnight stay at your homestay accommodation.

 

Day 2

​

• On the morning of the second day, open your window to uncover the magnificence of the terraced rice fields that have been intricately carved into the verdant hillsides. As the sun rises and casts its warm light over the land, you are treated to an astonishing 360° view from your homestay room. There is no better way to start your day!

• After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you head off on your journey to Ta Van where you will visit the Giay minority people. As you get closer, you enter a lush bamboo forest that winds down towards Muong Hoa river. The Giay ethnic group was traditionally fishermen who used bamboo sticks to fish with and cook their catch inside the same material. Today, however, they are more likely to be seen in their agricultural fields planting or harvesting rice.

• Continuing on your path through nature’s beauty, you make it to Giang Ta Chai waterfall - a truly spectacular sight. You stop here for a picnic lunch and take in all of its majestic beauty. After spending some time here peacefully by yourself or with others in your party, it’s time to begin heading back towards Sapa for 3:00 pm. You walk down a winding mountain road as its rocky surface gives way beneath your feet and eventually make it back to where you started - ready for another day filled with incredible memories from this special region!
