KHAI
Khai is a local Black Hmong guide born in Lao Chai village with expert knowledge of the Sapa region. Formally trained in tourism and English, he bridges the gap between traditional culture and international travelers.

His mission is to preserve Black Hmong heritage while creating opportunities for the local community. Through Sapa Khai Hmong Treks, he works to fund a local school to improve education for future generations. SAY
Say lives in a mountain-top home with her husband, offering views over the valley and the sunrise behind the final peaks of the Himalayas. Reaching the house involves a challenging trail due to its high-altitude location.
Guests are welcome to stay overnight and experience authentic local life. Facilities are traditional, with no showers or Western toilets, focusing instead on natural views and meals cooked over an open fire.
SAO
Sao lives in a well-maintained house in Lao Chai village, where she manages family responsibilities and motivates her husband toward their shared goal. Her primary objective is to save for a larger home constructed from traditional wood.
As timber remains a scarce and expensive resource in Vietnam due to historical forest loss, her project represents a significant investment. Stay with Sao's family to support their goal and experience daily life in a resilient Black Hmong household.
