March to May brings warm weather and blooming flowers. September to November is harvest season with stunning golden rice terraces. December to February can be cold and foggy, but clear days offer dramatic mountain views. Each season has its own beauty.

Sapa is a mountain region, so rain is common, especially from June to August. We monitor the weather closely and can adjust routes or timing if needed. A light rain jacket and quick-dry clothing are always smart.

Most travellers take an overnight sleeper bus or the new expressway bus from Hanoi (about 5–6 hours). There is also a train to Lao Cai followed by a one-hour bus or car ride to Sapa. We can help arrange transport upon request.

We usually arrange a meeting point in Sapa based on your itinerary, and pickup in Sapa can often be arranged too. Share where you’re staying, and we’ll confirm the easiest option for you before your trek begins.
